Carrie M. Holt is an author, speaker, and advocate with extensive experience navigating hospital stays and the challenges of special needs parenting. She co-hosts the podcast Take Heart Special Moms, where she shares her journey of unexpected motherhood, finding joy and comfort in God’s presence through life’s uncertainties.

Passionate about helping women flourish under challenging circumstances, she has been featured on numerous podcasts and radio shows, including Focus on the Family, Rising Above, The Warrior Mama Podcast, Moody Radio, and Family Life Radio.

Carrie advocated for twelve years through Nationwide Children’s Hospital volunteer groups. Her book, The Other Side of Special: Navigating the Messy, Emotional, Joy-Filled Life of a Special Needs Mom, was co-written alongside Amy J. Brown and Sara Clime and has encouraged families in similar situations.

Her new podcast, This Unexpected Life, will launch in February of 2025.
